A year before, Toyota India has launched its most anticipated sedan car named as Toyota Etios in Indian car market

A year before, Toyota India has launched its most anticipated sedan car named as Toyota Etios in Indian car market and car got great response from car buyers across the country. Initially company bring Etios in petrol version. The high lending rates and high petrol prices soon effects the sales of sedan in India. Hence, the Japanese auto giant launched Etios with the all new diesel engine option which will surely help in improving the company sales in India. In addition to this, company also launched its hatchback in both petrol and diesel version, named as Toyota Etios Liva. With the all new diesel engine, companies most affordable saloon compete against the likes of Nissan Sunny, Hyundai Verna, Maruti Swift Dzire and upcoming Skoda Rapid. starts at Rs. 4.99 lakhs and reaches to an height of Rs. 7.87 lakhs.

Toyota Etios review comes great in power and fuel efficiency, but not up to the mark in the exterior styling. The petrol version of the car is powered by 2NR-FE 4 Cylinder 16V, DOHC engine which delivers a maximum output power of 90 PS at 5600 rpm and maximum torque of 132 Nm at 3000 rpm. While, the diesel version of Etios is powered by a 1364 cc 4-cylinder 8V SOHC, D-4D diesel engine which is capable of generating a peak power of 68PS at 3800 rpm and has a maximum torque of 170 Nm at 1800-2400 rpm. The engine of the car is coupled with five speed manual transmission gearbox which accelerates the car from zero to 100 kmph in just 12.5 seconds while the diesel engine takes 19 seconds to reach 100 Kmph. The car manages to maintain a top speed of 178 Kmph which is quite a big amount.

Toyota Etios comes with an ordinary exterior which disappoints the car consumers in India. The docile headlights, simple body lines and a huge boot in the car makes it ordinary. The company tries to make it unique with the addition of chrome strip at the rear to break the mass of the boot. But the large mass of boot and a triangular tail-lamps make this difficult to achieve. Toyota Etios interior comes in with stylish and creative design which stands it unique among all the cars in same segment. The car provides a huge space to sit five passengers comfortably. It offers a massive boot space to carry large volume of luggage.
