The upper grille is in chrome with the lower grille embossed in black. The fog lamps are pearl white located at both end of the lower grille. The rain wipers are a miss at both the front and rear face. The rear view mirrors are the usual body color along with door handles, rear cowl and bumper.
The rear of the Etios however does give something to think about. The tail lamp of the Etios is a three sided triangle. The luggage space is also on the larger side. The 170mm ground clearance also makes it a perfect suit for the uneven Indian roads. The car comes with Body Colored Bumpers, Front Fog Lamps for the V and VX versions. It has body Colored Door Handles for the G Version, Body Colored ORVM, B Pillar Black-Out, Intermittent Wiper excluding the G version, Side Skirt for the VX version, Tubeless Tyres, 12 Spoke Alloy Wheels for V and VX models and Chrome Garnish on Boot. The car measures the best in class with the huge size and luggage space. The boot space is a huge 595 litres. The car measures at an overall length of 4265 mm, width 1695 mm and height is 1510 mm. This huge figure is carried by a wheelbase of 2550 mm and the ground clearance is 170mm. The fuel tank efficiency is 45 Litres with the turning circle radius of 4.9 m.
The tyre measures 175 / 65 R14 for Toyota Etios J and Toyota Etios G. In the Toyota Etios V and Toyota Etios VX you will find 175 / 65 R14 tyres. The diesel Toyota Etios VD and Toyota Etios VXD have a tyre size of 185/60 R 15. The car is run by a 2NR-FE, 4 Cylinder 16V, DOHC petrol engine and 1364cc, 68PS diesel engine. The 1.5L petrol engine delivers a maximum power of 90PS at 5600 rpm and a peak torque of 132 Nm at 3000 rpm. The engine also comes with a dual camshaft and four valves per cylinder for enhanced performance, rpm and mileage as well. The car has surely come with a lot preparation and will surely be a headache for its rivals. This high fi technology also ensures that the there is less loss of power as well. The engine is bolstered with the standard pistons that come with molybdenum coating. It is also adorned with Electronic Fuel Injection system.
The diesel cousin is also made with four-cylinder, 8V, SOHC engine powering up to 68 PS power at 3800rpm. It also coughs up 170Nm of peak torque at 1800-2400 rpm. This is a great Toyota product at a killer price. The prices start from 4.98 lacs to 7.88 lacs as per ex showroom value. The entry of the Etios sedan gives Toyota the chance to break even in the mass market. The car with its great price proposition and reliability, this one is a huge hit.
