For the Son of Man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cock crowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch" (Mark 13:32-37). The apostles wanted to know the same thing. Jesus told them to look for signs instead of a particular date. "Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?" And Jesus answering them began to say, "Take heed lest any man deceive you: For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost." (Mark 13:4-11) Also, we generally know that there will be a peace treaty signed by the Antichrist and Israel for "One Week" or seven year time period (Daniel 9:24-27). Jesus also spoke of "Birth Pangs" or problems one after another, becoming more severe until the end happens. "All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come." (Matthew 24:8-14) "And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased." (Daniel 12:1-4). Today, just as in the past, the name of Jesus is hated above every other name, and those who teach and preach it as the only saving or commanded way to God are persecuted. Many false teachings, preachers and Christs have arisen. The spirit of deception is everywhere. We live in the instant communication age. Every year and a half knowledge doubles. Consider that research proves that it took from 1 AD to 1500 AD to double knowledge, since then the doubling process has continually been shortened until it's present day status. The speed of travel has greatly increased, going from the horse 1900 (25-50 mph) to mach 45 (35,000 mph) in 2011. Israel has been reborn after thousands of years, and Persia (Iran) has an alliance with Magog or Gog (Russia). See Ezekiel 37-39. There's no doubt to many that were in the end times. But do not rush out and quit your job, or sell all your possessions just yet. I believe that the signs show that we are in final quarter of the game, but there is still some time left.
