These compact cars will be low priced small family cars. The upcoming launches of these cars will be within the period of 2012 to 2014.</p> <p>Volkswagen is making a new car Volkswagen Up which is expected to be launched in 2013. The car will be cheaper than Volkswagen Polo. The car will have reduced costs with front engine and front wheel drive. The interior space will be more having the technology like integrated display. The car will be powered by a 1.2 cylinder petrol engine for Indian market.</p> <p>Honda Brio, a new compact car of Honda motors, is expected to be launched in 2013. The car will have more room for the passengers and will consist of new interiors. Honda brio will be powered by 1.2 i-VTEC engine.</p> <p>Mahindra and Mahindra is planning to launch Mahindra Verito in 2011. The existing Mahindra Logan is a good selling compact car and Mahindra Verito will be a shorter version of Mahindra Logan.</p> <p>Mahindra next compact car is Mahindra Mini Xylo. It will have a reduced wheel size and truncated rear section but it is reported that it will offer a lot. It will be powered by 1.5 litres diesel motor. It is said that it will be Mahindra's own version of Maruti Wagon R.</p> <p>Another compact car to be launched by Mahindra and Mahindra is Mahindra S101. The launch of the car is expected in 2013. The car will have a front wheel drive and a spare tyre will be mounted on the tail gate. The car will have 1.2 litres three cylinder engine which will produce a power of 60-70 BHP.</p> <p>Hindustan Motors is planning to launch a new Hindustan Ambassador CS in the coming year 2012. The car will consist of a 1.5 litres diesel motor. As per our sources Hindustan Motors will update the motor to meet the emission norms.</p> <p>Tata Motors is planning to launch Tata Manza CS next year. Tata Manza CS will have extended sheel base and extra boot space.</p> <p>Ford is going to launch Ford Eco Sport in 2012. The car will be based on the same platform as that of Ford Fiesta. The price of Ford Eco Sport will also be same as Ford Fiesta. It will be powered by a more powerful engine than that of Fiesta.</p> <p>It is expected that the period from 2012 to 2014 will be a period of compact cars. The upcoming cars will have a strong competition in case of price, design, speed, features and facilities provided by the car manufacturers.
