When Petrol prices are screwed up by Indian government for the second time in four months, Premier Motors which is known for its SUVs just launched a compact SUV Premier Rio in petrol version .Although the diesel variant of the same car is already available in India, so introducing petrol variant might be a strategy of company to popularize Premier Rio name in Indian car market. The has been kept at very attractive Rs 4.70 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) which is a full 60,000 cheaper than the diesel engined variant.

The petrol engine provided in the car is compatible according to Bharat Stage –IV emission norms which is good enough for the people living in BS4 cities to buy Rio Premiere petrol variant.
