The Chevrolet Avalanche is in a segment by itself. It is a versatile full-sized sports utility truck that has had very minor changes to its design since 2007. It has a unique stowable rear window and the seats can be folded down to create a pick-up truck in less than a minute.
The Avalanche comes in three trim levels: LS, LT and LTZ. The basic LS model still offers plenty of extras including: premium cloth seats; a CD/MP3 player; OnStar with the Directions & Connections® Plan for the first six months; USB port; 17” aluminum wheels; Bluetooth® Wireless technology for select phones; and roof-mounted luggage rack with side and center rails. The LT model adds front bucket seats with six-way power; leather seating surfaces; power-adjustable pedals; remote vehicle starter system; available off-road Z71 off-road suspension package; dual-zone automatic climate control; Bose® 7-speaker system; and ultrasonic rear parking assist. The LTZ top-of-the-line Avalanche includes even more extras: front bucket seats with 12-way power; perforated-leather front row seating surfaces; heated and cooled front seats; 20” polished aluminum wheels; NavTraffic standard for three trial months; navigation radio with rearview camera system; Bose® Centerpoint® surround-sound eight-speaker system.
The Chevrolet Avalanche can be paired with a 320HP 5.3 liter Vortec V8 engine and provides flex fuel capacity and active fuel management providing 15 mpg in the city and around 21 mpg on the highway. All engine cylinders are activated when more power is needed and 4 cylinders are deactivated when there is need to conserve fuel, in a seamless operation. You have the option of choosing a 366HP, 6-0 liter Vortex V8 engine. A 6-speed automatic transmission can power a two-wheel or four-wheel drive. Standard features of the Avalanche include five-passenger seating, OnStar with turn-by turn navigation, crash response and a 5000lb towing capacity.
The 2011 Chevrolet is a class by itself and offers great capacity, comfort, and convenience. It is a versatile machine made with a sense of comfort. It can change from a SUV to a pick-up truck in less than a minute. There are a wide variety of safety features and six trim packages with prices ranging from $36,110 to $49,310.
