<h1>New BMW X5 launched</h1><strong> Author: <a href='http://www.articleseen.com/profile_cardekho.aspx'>cardekho</a></strong><br /><p>BMW India today launched the refreshed version of it popular SUV, BMW X5, that will be available in two variants- BMW X5 xDrive 50i (petrol) and BMW X5 xDrive30d (diesel).<a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.cardekho.com/carmodels/BMW/BMW_X5" title="BMW X5">BMW X5</a> The xDrive50i is priced at Rs 69.50 lakh and the xDrive30d is tagged at Rs 52.99 lakh (both ex-showroom price in Delhi). Both the variants of the model will take the CBU route; deliveries of the vehicle would be done from October, 2010. The BMW X5 xDrive50i is powered by a 4395cc, V8, BMW TwinPower Turbo and direct petrol injection (High Precision Injection) that produces a top power of 407 bhp at 5500-6400 rpm and belts out 600 Nm at 1750-4500 rpm and accelerates from 0 – 100 kmph in 5.5 seconds. The base variant, xDrive30d, is powered by a 2993, V6, TwinPower Turbo and Common Rail direct injection engine which pumps out a max power of 245 hp at 4,000 rpm and generates a top torque of 540 Nm at 1750-3000 rpm and accelerates from 0 – 100 kmph in 7.6 seconds. The new BMW X5, launched in the year 2006 now sports wider outboard air intakes borrowed from 5 series while the trademark kidney grille enjoys the centre spot with some enhancement. Moreover, the rear side of the new BMW X5 has redesigned taillights in a view to add more appeal to the car. The new engines are coupled with all new eight speed automatic transmission, the same is used in other BMW cars. In view to reduce parasitic losses, the gas versions feature Brake Energy Regeneration system. In addition to these updates, all the new powerplants conform to the Euro 5 emissions standards. The new BMW X5 is equipped as standard with the latest generation of the iDrive control system. The new BMW X5 offers a multitude of unique driver assistance systems for optimising comfort, the use of infotainment functions as well as safety. You can now add an optional third seat row to accommodate 7 passengers in the vehicle. The new BMW X5 will be available in Alpine White as non-metallic paintwork and in the following metallic colours: Black Sapphire, Space Grey, Titanium Silver and Platinum Bronze. In addition, Deep Sea Blue, Platinum Grey and Sparkling Bronze are new colours in the range of metallic colours available for the new BMW X5. Nevada leather is the standard upholstery for the new BMW X5 and is available in the following colours: Beige, Black, Oyster, Cinnamon Brown and Tobacco. Perforated Beige and Perforated Black is available with the Luxury Package.
