Mercedes is thinking of coming up with this less expensive diesel version for the Mercedes C Class and Mercedes E Class in the coming 2 years in the present times both Mercedes E and C class are coming up with the engine of 2500cc diesel engine but Mercedes most prominent competitors BMW and Audi are already in the market with the engine of 2000cc diesel engine.</p> <p>The most prominent reason of launching the smaller and cheaper diesel engine is that it would be best for Indian roads and less cc engine will also help in the growing traffic of roads. And the lower cc engine will surely cut off the prices of the car and also some other features and as soon as prices will fall the consumers will surely be attracted towards the car. As informed by the MD and CEO of Mercedes Benz India, Mr. Peter Honegg.</p> <p>At present the Luxury cars Mercedes C class ranges from 25.75 lakhs to 32.81 lakhs on the other hand Mercedes E class ranges from 40.61 lakh to 50.44 lakh both of these luxury car of Mercedes are presently coming with engine of 2.5 litre diesel variant these two cars are among the largest sold cars of the company these two are contributing very much to the sales of the German company Mercedes. Mercedes most prominent rival BMW is already selling there corporate versions of luxury cars in the market in the diesel versions like BMW 320d, BMW 520d accompanied with 2000cc diesel engine.
