I have been looking at purchasing a nice jeep recently. I have exhaustively looked at every small jeep on the market, one stands out more than any other. I need a small jeep due to running costs associated with larger jeeps being just far too expensive for may budget. The Skoda Yeti ticks all the boxes and would surpass my demands of safety features, style and being a totally functional car.
I want a 4X4 that has proven capabilities on and off road. I have gone for the diesel model just because my personal preference, when it comes to off road vehicles they should be diesel. The Skoda Yeti has a stunning interior. It is without a doubt the best in its class, and price range. It offers me the comfort of a family hatchback but the capabilities of being out there with the bad boys off road. The duel use appeals to me and the wife.
14,830 GBP up to 22,340 GBP starts you on your Yeti quest, you can add a host of extras that will make your Skoda Yeti specific to your own personality. I love the way the spotlights have been risen to above the normal height. It looks stylish and mean to say the least. Skoda seems to have taken extra effort to ensure the Skoda Yeti is the best 4X4 available in this class.
The accessories are numerous and all a must, to show of the Yeti’s body lines and interior. I have chosen tailored floor mats, detachable tow bar, roof bars, false boot floor, internal bike carrier and leather seats. The color we have chosen from the eight available from Skoda is Rosso Brunello metallic , the wife wanted aqua blue metallic, but I won in the end with the flip of a coin.
My engine of choice is a 2.0L diesel, with a four cylinder transverse engine, it is 1968cc and can do zero to sixty-eight miles per hour in a respectable eight point four seconds. It can do 40.9 in the urban environment and 53.3 on the motorway. The combined fuel economy is a respectable 47.9. The fuel tank holds sixty liters. The maximum speed is one hundred and twenty five miles per hour or two hundred and one kilometers per hour.
In the Skoda Yeti’s short life it has won some coveted awards such as the International Green Apple environment award, Honest John awards car of the year and best crossover car, 2010 Auto express car of the year, 2010 Auto express best crossover car and the 2009 Top Gear award to name just a few. Not bad for a car manufacturer that had a bad reputation only a couple of years ago. Now Skoda is a vehicle manufacturer others wish to emulate.
We cannot wait to get our Skoda Yeti in a week’s time. I honestly think we will keep it for many years to come and it will become part of our family.
