The South Korean Auto giant, Hyundai has launched its most renowned small car Hyundai Santro in the year 1996.

The South Korean Auto giant, Hyundai has launched its most renowned small car Hyundai Santro in the year 1996. The car got great response from the car buyers in India. Now the company is all set to launch a fresh Santro in India named as Hyundai Santro Xing diesel to attract more volume of crowd. Currently going Hyundai Santro is available in seven different variants both in petrol and LPG options. The price for the base variant > is Rs. 2,80,897 and goes up to Rs. 3,70,169 , Whereas the price for the LPG variant the price starts from Rs. 3,70,975 and goes up to Rs. 3,92,538.
Currently going Hyundai Santro Xing is powered by an 1.1 litre, SOHC, 4 cylinder, 1086cc, petrol engine that is quite capable of producing a maximum power of 63 PS at 5500 rpm and generates the peak torque of 96 Nm at 3000 rpm. The engine of the car is mated to a five speed manual transmission gearbox. The car offers a decent fuel efficiency of 13.7 Kmpl in the city and 17.8 Kmpl on the highway. The small hatchback maintains a high speed of 141 Kmph and sprint from zero to 100 in just 16.5 seconds.
Hyundai Santro comes loaded with sound braking and suspension system that provides a comfortable and safe drive. The car adorns a front ventilated disc brakes and rear one are self adjusting drum type. In addition to these it is also fitted with a rigid suspension system where the front forks are McPherson Strut while the rear suspension is torsion beam axle type. The small hatchback also provides various safety features for both driver and passengers like new immobilizer, self locking door, central locking, front and rear seat belts, child safety-rear door locks etc..
The all new Santro Xing offers various interior facilities like 1 DIN audio system, USB and AUX connectivity, Silver furnished conventional AC and heater. The car provides a moderate space to sit 5 people in a comfortable manner and also offers a decent boot space to carry small luggage. The car has enough headroom and legroom space to sit and drive comfortably. The car exterior looks pretty decent and brawny.
Hyundai recently launched its most anticipated Hyundai Eon in India and all set to launch a diesel variant of Hyundai Santro Xing in India to compete against other small diesel cars in India like Volkswagen Polo and Tata Indica Vista.
