Hyundai Motors made its entry in Indian auto segment many years back with its flagship model Hyundai Santro. Bollywood King Khan (Shahrukh Khan) was doing endorsement for the auto manufacturer in India. The auto major is the country's largest exporter and the second largest car manufacturer. The firm officially announces that its flagship Santro has registered an export of 5 lakh units from the country. Since its launch in India, it got an overwhelming response from the car consumers in India. Now the company plans to launch its all new Hyundai Santro Xing diesel in India to attract more car buyers. Currently going Hyundai Santro is available seven different variants in both petrol and LPG options. for the base variant Hyundai Santro Xing is Rs. 2,80,897 and goes up to Rs. 3,70,169 , Whereas the price for the LPG variant the price starts from Rs. 3,70,975 and reaches at a height of Rs. 3,92,538.
The Korean auto major started exporting cars in the year 1999, where it ships around 20 Santros to Nepal. This figure goes on increasing and in the year 2004 company managed to export around 100,000 cars, which further improved as in 2005 company ships around a mark of 200,000 cars. Going forward the it kept increasing day by day and in the year 2008 company achieves a milestone of exporting 500,000 Hyundai Santro cars, which makes it the fastest passenger car maker. Hyundai shares a high of 57 percent total exports of cars from India. Currently company exports the Hyundai Santro, i10, i20 and the Accent models. With all these efforts Hyundai Motors India ltd manged to stay on top position who exports passenger car of the country.
Hyundai Santro review comes excellent in fuel economy and in power as well. The flagship model Hyundai Santro Xing is powered by a high performance 1.1 litre, SOHC, 4 cylinder petrol engine that is quite capable of producing a maximum power of 63 PS at 5500 rpm and generates the peak torque of 96 Nm at 3000 rpm. The engine of the car is mated to a five speed manual transmission gearbox. The car weighs only 854 kgs which makes it more powerful and help in improving its pickup. The small hatchback maintains a high speed of 141 Kmph and sprint from zero to 100 in just 16.5 seconds. The car offers an excellent fuel efficiency of 16.1 Kmpl in the city and reaches at the top of 24.3 Kmpl on the highway.
The car provides an ample boot space to carry a decent amount of luggage. The small hatchback also provides an enough legroom and headroom space to sit around 5 passengers comfortably. It also adorn various safety features for both driver and passengers like new immobilizer, self locking door, central locking, front and rear seat belts, child safety-rear door locks etc..
