Big Mac Attack

A new survey shows that more Americans know about the ingredients of a Mc Donald's Big Mac than they do about the Ten Commandments. One thousand people took the questionnaire by Kelton research Company, it showed that 80% could name the burger's main ingredient of two all-beef patties, but less than 60% could recall the commandment of "Thou (You) shalt not kill." The survey found that many knew of the big Mac's ingredients, while few knew many if any of the Ten Commandments.

A new survey shows that more Americans know about the ingredients of a Mc Donald's Big Mac that they do about the Ten Commandments. The Big Mac commercial song and jingle of "two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun" began in 1969 and lasted up until 2003 in some form or another here in America, and in many parts of the world. One thousand people took the questionnaire by Kelton Research Company, it showed that 80% could name the burger's main ingredient of two all-beef patties, but less than 60% could recall the commandment of "Thou (You) shalt not kill."

The survey also found that just 45% could remember the command to "Honor your father and mother" while 76% knew the Big Mac ingredients of lettuce, 66% of special sauce, 62% of pickles and 60% cheese. It's astounding when that in a so-called Christian society knows more about pickles and sesame seeds in a Big Mac, than the Ten commandments. Many laws in our culture are directly based on the Ten commandments. This shows our priorities in life.

True Story. Today, I asked a friend of mine do you know any of the ingredients of a Big Mac? He told most of them. But when I asked him if he knew any of the Ten Commandments, he replied no. He told me that he was going to Google them up tonight.

1) I am the Lord your God, don't put other gods before me.

2) Don't take the name of the Lord in vain.

3) Honor the Sabbath.

8) Don't bear false witness against your neighbor.

9) Don't covet your neighbor's wife.

10) Don't covet anything that belongs to your neighbor.

And God spake all these words, saying, "I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
