Hyundai has come up with a more sporty and elegant sedan which is set to be released in the later part of 2011. The 2011 Hyundai Elantra boasts of a fuel economy of only 40mpg. This fuel economy is applicable to all models regardless of the trim or transmission.

The upcoming 2011 Hyundai Elantra has a fuel efficient 148-horsepower engine. The new Elantra model will be available in six-speed automatic transmission or six-speed manual transmission. It also promises to have a higher torque and horsepower than most of the cars of its range. The powertrain of the 2011 Elantra still stays the same. The style of the 2011 Hyundai Elantra is a smaller version of the Hyundai Sonata. It has the same fluid style but has a smaller body compared to the Sonata. The interior of the car is also similar to that of the larger Sonata. The 2011 Elantra also has some design features on its interior that the Sonata does not have, such as the new design of its center stack.

The upcoming model will have additional features such as heated rear seats, HID headlights, LED taillights, puddle lamps and LCD information display. The headlights and taillights of the 2011 model have also been made bigger to improve its design and functionality. The grill of the new Elantra is also similar to that of the Hyundai Tucson. The fog lamps also have an improved appearance. The older models of the Hyundai Elantra had one major design flaw which was its slab-sided style. The 2011 model was designed to address this major design flaw. The upcoming Elantra now has a character line that is deeper and has an upward direction going to the taillights. The quarter window on the rear of the 2011 Elantra also appears to be smaller than the older model.

Sales begin almost immediately, beginning at $14,830 before a mandatory $720 destination charge. A range-topping Elantra Premium starts at $21,980, but most Elantras sold will probably be $17,080 Elantra GLS Populars with the automatic transmission. The designers of the new Elantra also paid attention to the design details of the car’s rear so it not only looks good from the front but from the rear as well. The trunk lid now has a more attractive design and has now been added with LED lamps.
