It is also highly correlated with other chronic health issues such as fatty liver diseases, type II diabetes (diabetes mellitus), insulin resistance, heart disease and heart attacks, high blood pressure, colon cancer, gout, sleep apnea, gallstones, and strokes.

What is Cirrhosis?
Cirrhosis is scarring of the liver that involves the formation of fibrous (scar) tissue associated with the destruction of the normal architecture of the organ. It is usually a result of long-standing injury most commonly due to excess of alcohol intake but there are a number of other important causes the could lead to a liver cirrhosis.
