New iPhone 5 is going to create histtory within weeks as the Apple phone this time is expected to break all the display resolution record by introducing the Retina Display 2 technology.
As the iPhone 5 news are coming every few hours we have something more to add to the fever that has gripped the entire nation. According to the reliable sources Apple is going to launch a cheaper iPhone 4 with 8 GB flash drive for those who are not willing to spend much on an unlocked iPhone 5.
Earlier, iPhone 4 was available in two models one with 16 GB flash drive at the price of $199 and another with 32 GB flash drive at $299. Now, Apple is going to add one more iPhone model to its product line with 8GB flash drive at an affordable price. However, the news cannot be termed as new, in fact, we heard something similar in the April that apple is going to launch two of its iPhones, one as a new-generation model and another to offer the people a cheaper iPhone.
According to Yuanta Securities analyst Bonnie Chang:
"Apple may want to push into the emerging-market segment, where customers want to switch to be low to mid-end smartphones from high-end feature phones, which usually cost $150 to $200,"
Apple's decision to include a cheaper iPhone along with iPhone 5 is mainly to counter the Android phones onslought that has completely captured the mid ranged smartphone market. Currently, there are many brands of smartphones available in the market where Apple is known for its premium pricing and Nokia for its lower rates. Other than that Androids are also available at lower prices as compare to Apple. This is why apple is losing a market share, including those users who prefer the smartphones at a less price as they cannot afford iphones thus switch over Androids or Nokia. This might be a strong reason that apple decided to offer a cheaper iPhone to target that untouched market share and to attract those users towards it. The apple's decision to launch a cheaper iPhone is appreciable as it will add a low price iPhone to its product line.
According to Channing Smith, co-manager of the Capital Advisors Growth Fund, which owns Apple shares.
"A lower-priced version of iPhone 4 seems to be a necessary evil at this point in the iPhone adoption cycle, especially in emerging markets where the average income of individuals is much lower,"
Now, let's come to the iPhone 5 which is expected to bring a larger screen, improved antenna, 8MP camera and there are very high chances that it will be having very similar visual features as iPhone 4 has. Moreover, according to the sources, apple is preparing to produce 45 millions units of iPhone 5.
So it is possible that you will be getting both the new amazing Apple's models iPnone 5 and a cheaper iPhone 4 this fall.
