A personal ad should be one that is truthful as well as interesting. To get the attention of someone that might be interested in dating you will need to come up with a title that will get his or her attention. On the other hand, you do not want to get their attention with a heading that is untrue. A title like “Blonde Bombshell” will certainly get attention, but if you are skinny and have red hair then the person looking for a blonde bombshell will be very disappointed if/when, you meet.
However, you could use, “Blonde Bombshell”, and then in the body of the ad, say something like “I got your attention, didn’t I?” and then go ahead with the rest of your classified ad.
In the body of the personal ad, you should not mention the town, your address, your telephone number, or even the name of the store you frequent. In most cases, you will be placing the ad under the town or region in which you live so others reading your ad will already have an idea of the town, so you do not wish to give out too much information that may lead the wrong type of individuals to your door.
A personal ad should include an age range, the things you like to do, and the things you do not like to do. You can even add such things as turn ons and turn offs when it comes to a relationship.
Now it comes to how to contact you. The best way is to get a free email address and use this email address for the personal ad only. By using a free email address, those that read your ad will not have any clues as to where you might live. Once you begin corresponding, you should also be careful until you have gotten to know the person better. When it is time to meet, meet in a public place. Let your family and friends know where you are going and where you will at all times. It would be in your best interest to carry a cell phone so you can stay in contact with a friend at least for the first meeting.
