Now, most of the heavy physical works, which were once done by human beings, can be done with the help of machineries and equipments. This has reduced the burden of laborers to some extent. Secondly, the use of modern machineries has also helped in increasing the quantity of production and thus helped in the overall development of the industry.
Nowadays most of the industry employs are enjoying better salaries and they are covered with many benefits including medical insurance and accidental insurance. Despite all these positive aspects, we can not say for sure that the life of modern day industrial employee is perfect and happy one. The chances of accidents have also increased with the enhanced use of modern machineries. There are a lot of health hazards, especially to those who work in various mechanical and chemical working environments in industries. To prevent these menaces to a certain extent, most of the companies are opting for safety training to its employees.
IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) is one such international organization providing training to the people in safety and health related matters. When we talk about the safety and health of factory employees, most of us will think about the physical health and safety only. Most of the institutes offering safety training are concentrating on physical health and safety only. But in IOSH, the safety does not mean only the physical safety or health does not mean only the physical health. Due to heavy work load and due to several other commitments, most of the employees are undergoing severe stress. This mental stress may affect the quality of their work also. Therefore, real safety training should cover all these aspects too.
Safety training is being given to all types of people and to employees belonging to all categories in industrial working zone. The benefits of such precautionary awareness campaigns are offering adequate emphasis on the industrial safety best practices. The effectiveness of such training modalities are being adhered with adequate importance which not only helps in maintain a healthy working environment, but also goes a step further in ensuring the safety of most precious human resource in any working environment.
With the regulations implemented for industrial safety, industries are also keen to adopt such trainings as a part of their development activities and this in return has accentuated a healthier, safer and better working environ for all workforce.
