Why is the same product in the shop more expensive than the Internet? It's a question many asked. For many it is obviously a piece of cake, not for others. To eliminate all clear I'll just briefly on this question.
Briefly what business
Most products go through several stages in the production before it reaches the consumer as an end product. Eg from raw material to production, from manufacturing to wholesale, wholesale to retail. And then from the shop to the consumer.
Any company that does something with the product (all 'links' in the 'chain') to make money. And if possible, as much as possible. It must include all costs incurred will be recovered.
Internet is cheaper because it takes away a number of links (some exceptions). Very simplified:
Causing less 'added value' to the product. And so the price is lower.
An online store has lower costs
Online stores have much lower costs while anyway. A shop is expensive (especially on an A site) and also personnel. Think also of gas and electricity and the like. An internet shop is often no more than one warehouse. Often you do not like internet shop (large) stockpile. A customer buys something that will let you send from the wholesaler. The "overhead" on the Internet is lower.
It's worth the trouble as always on the internet to see if a product is cheaper to obtain. Though the price is not for everyone decisive. Online shopping has its advantages because: You can let the advice of staff, you can easily recover if something with the product, product retention, and more. But if you check the price-centered despite all the folders in your mailbox just yet on the Internet.
Find it very bluntly. Besides the cost of the site depends on your branch / product can amount to quite the competitive edge, many consumers expect extended opening hours and a rapid response to an email, tweet or whatever. That means that in many cases outside regular working hours employees need to meet those demands. It is nowadays fashionable to order everything and then return back within 14 days to send. Believe in women's fashion 60% return streams of what is purchased online. Think you post only true for online stores within the next five years no longer exist.
Ok an online retail store does not need expensive but still an office / warehouse with all the associated costs. I also think that the cost of marketing and advertising for an internet considerably higher than a regular store.
