The most important among all these functions is e-mail. Earlier, letters were used to communicate with relatives and close friends. Letters took a lot of time in conveying these messages. Then came the telephone facilities and then emails. Have you ever thought about the process involved in sending and receiving electronic mails? It is facilitated with the use of the SMTP mailserver. To setup SMTP service, in order to make the communication process easy, a series of steps is required to be followed.

When one sends an email, it first gets transferred to the SMTP mailserver. Once the server receives the message, it interacts with the Domain Name System Server as well as the server of the other side that is the destination computer. It performs this to verify if the destination server is valid or not. This verification completely bases on the email id that the sender specifies. Verification and authorization of the destination link is necessary to ensure that the mail reaches its recipient.
