'Bigg Boss' an Indian reality show is an English version of 'Big Brother' which was first developed by Endemol in Netherlands. It made its first appearance when colors TV channels aired it in the year 2006.

The main concept behind the launch of the reality show is the celebrity contestants stay in the awesome house for the next three months, without connecting to the outside world. They are monitored by a mysterious person known as the 'Bigg Boss', whose only presence can be witnessed by hearing his voice. The chief responded with a strong statement that the desi TV reality show as insulted the Marathi Manoos as the surname of the character appears to be a Maharashtrian. Adding to this, even the contestant in the house has approached with obnoxious words and backbiting for one another. Another, sensational news that hit the headlines was when unlike the foreign celebrities Sunny Leone made her first TV appearance in the show. Speaking on this, the celeb is known to be an adult actress and is one of the top 12-rated actresses of 2010. The thespian was born in India but soon she made her filmy appearance by signing adult films, she was also seen acting in couple of mainstream movies and finally landed in her native country to play the most controversial show.
The Bigg Boss season 5 also made a sharp decision of involving pop singer Shakira and ex-heavyweight boxer Mike Tyson to participate in the reality show. It would be great watching the desi TV show as it has many spices to play with.
