More resistant than concrete :
Epoxy flooring coatings result from two polymers creating a chemical reaction to produce a smooth or roughened floor surface that is tough yet flexible, seamless and attractive, and safe for people on foot and in vehicles such as forklift trucks. The magic behind epoxy floor coating is that the resin that coats the floor gets absorbed to some degree into the surface concrete, bonding the epoxy resin in such a way that it is impossible to peel the resin up from the floor. Chemicals including solvents, oil, petrol, alkalis and acids can be stored because any spillage will not affect the epoxy resin.

Even a simple, low cost treatment of a concrete floor will extend a floor’s lifespan and if a heavy duty epoxy resin is applied the concrete will be protected 100% from loading point drop damage and working day abrasions. It should be remembered that epoxy resins can be adapted depending on eventual use whether it is as a floor seal that strengthens and protects; a thicker layer of resin that offers good chemical resistance in a variety of coloured finishes; or a heavy weight resin finish that can withstand solid and sharp impacts and highly corrosive chemical spills.

Whatever depth of epoxy flooring coatings is right for your business, epoxy offers a surface that is hard and yet flexible, smooth and easy to clean, but with great non-slip properties that can be enhanced if necessary.
