I have used a range of trash pickup tools in the last couple years, including the Nifty Nabber, Ettore Trash Picker, and the Gopher Grabber.
|
. None of these lasted longer than half a year (each), to be honest. The Nifty Nabber can only be trusted with light cleaning tasks and the picker jaws went out of shape and alignment with just 2 months usage.
Then I bought the Gopher Grabber, but within four months, the folding mechanism gave away and the rubber cups at the tip of the picker jaws wore off. I thought about replacing the cups and repairing the folding mechanism, but at the cost of it, I realized I could buy a new one.
Then came the Ettore Trash Picker, featuring a long pointy metal needle with a sharp tip that is great for picking up even the tiniest of litter, but again, I lost the plastic cap that secured the pointy needle end while not in use, and within just a few weeks the needle got bent. So, after trying all these products and having left dissatisfied, I decided to shell out a bit of extra money and get myself the top-selling product in the market, the Grappler extended reach trash pickup tool.
The Grappler – Features
• Strong and durable with a rust-free aluminum body
• Lightweight handling, yet miraculously sturdy enough for heavy duty use
• Strong and wide picker jaws with sharp features for maximum grip and dexterity
• Works on an easy trigger mechanism that doesn’t hurt your fingers in the long run
• Available in standard as well as industrial grade versions (the latter features no plastic parts and is fit for industrial use)
• Available in many sizes to suit everyone’s requirements – 24”, 33”, 40”, 48”, 72”, and 96” (inches, in length)
• Comes with a Lifetime Warranty
A Very Useful Multipurpose Tool
When I first bought the Grappler litter pickup tool I used it primarily to help me with my weekly cleaning chores, but within a couple of weeks, I realized the Grappler is much more than just a trash pickup tool. It’s a multipurpose reaching tool that you can use to grab things off the top shelf, like cans of food and tetra packs of milk etc. If you go for the 48” Grappler, you can use it with a riding mower. That way you can mow the lawn and pick up trash on the go.
The Grappler extended reach trash pickup tool is also used by volunteers of many highway cleanup initiatives, like the Adopt-A-Highway program. It’s also a great grabbing assistant for auto-store technicians, and a very useful reaching tool for wheelchair users.
