Ajmer is a city in Ajmer District in India's Rajasthan state. Ajmer is located 135 kilometres west to state capital Jaipur.
Ajmer, a nondescript, peaceful town some 135 km west of Rajasthan’s capital city Jaipur, was best known for the mausoleum of sufi saint Moinuddin Chishti until that Thursday in October 2007. The blast at the Dargah here on October 11, 2007, however, changed things, making Ajmer News one of the most searched keywords on the internet. And as the shadow of death loomed large on the city – the blast killed 3 and left 15 other seriously injured – locals found solace in the name of the Khwaja, hoping that the gloomy night would give way to a new dawn where all would be calm again.
More than three years after that gruesome attack on the secular fabric of the city, Ajmer news has failed to failed impress Indians, who want the perpetrators of the blast to be brought to book. Even as 59-year-old Swami Aseemanand, a member of the Hindu extremist group Abhinav Bharat, has been booked in the case and is being produced in court, no real progress seems to have been made in the case.
But wait…Ajmer Hindi news has a ray of hope for all of us whose souls cry for justice.
Dainik Bhaskar, a leading Hindi Daily has reported that Aseemanand, currently lodged in the Ajmer Central Jail, may turn approved in the blast case. Were this to happen, it would not only be a huge success for the Rajasthan Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) but also give a new turn to the case. Sources say Aseemanand on February 11 sent a confidential letter to the Chief Judicial Magistrate RL Mund through central jail superintendent Preeta Bhargava. Even as the contents of this letter are not known to the media, Ajmer Hindi news circles are rife with speculation is rife that Assemanand has expressed willingness to become an approver in the Ajmer blast case.
Devender, Lokesh Sharma and Chandershekhar, three other accused in the Ajmer blast case, are also currently under trail. But the imminent question still remains: will the conspirators of the Ajmer blast get their due? We sincerely hope so but only time will tell.
