Photojournalism :
Photojournalists have to have the knack of maintaining the probity of an incident, they need to make those viewing the photo feel as if they were there at the scene. The skill of photojournalism is based on the capturing of the shot, no editing or alike can be made.
Documentary Photography :
Documentary photography compromises of images and photographs which tell a story and relay a period or an event of history.
Action Photography :
The main thing an action photographer must have in their locker is a knowledge of the sport or event they are shooting, as they need to know exactly when to take a picture and which pictures will be most appreciated by their audience.
Macro photography :
This is photography which is taken at a close range, for example; photographs of the texture of a certain material or a close up shot of the intricate details of a flower.
Micro photography :
Micro photography must be done with special cameras and microscopes. This art of photography is used to capture very small elements and as you can imagine it is suited to the scientific field in particular.

This entails photographs of woman in a suggestive and sexual manner, however it is not to be confused with pornographic photography.
Aerial Photography :
This involves taking photographs from a height and involves the usage of planes, ultralights, parachutes, and alike.
Underwater Photography :
This form of photography is usually enjoyed by scuba divers or snorkelers.
Art Photography :
This covers a wide range of subjects yet all photographs must have an artistic connotation.
Portraiture :
Portraits are intended to capture the personality of the subject.

Wedding photography is vital because the documents the happiest day of an individuals life. Editing techniques can be utilized.

This entails capturing an image in a way to market a certain product or service.
Travel Photography :
This involves capturing the feel and beauty of a certain area.
