If you are in the used car trade you are bound to have some unhappy customers who have purchased a used car with great expectations. The issue here is that all used cars will have some form of imperfection, if you are not willing to live with minor imperfections then do not buy a used car.
If you are in the used car trade you are bound to have some unhappy customers who have purchased a used car with great expectations. The issue here is that all used cars will have some form of imperfection, if you are not willing to live with minor imperfections then do not buy a used car.

Most unhappy used car customers contact their nearest to raise a case at the small claims court, but some go to other extremes. In America (it only ever happens in America) a man and his wife were unhappy with a van they were sold. It was an 11 year old van with over 100,000 miles on the clock, so as per US interpretation the van was sold with a salvage title. The wife, who initially purchased the van, was also asked to sign documents stating that the van was unsafe and it was “sold as seen”.

When she got the van home the husband said the van was rigged with issues and demanded that the user car dealership take it back, when they refused he came back at midnight. He came back and drove the van through the front of the dealership, smashing into several cars on display at the garage.

Mr David Cross (husband) said, "I hit the first 25,000 car I could see," Cross told the Portsmouth Herald. I didn't hit a car under 20,000. Then I moved a van that they wouldn't come down on the price for. I moved it with the lemon they sold me. I just held it to the floor until I couldn't move it anymore. I took out seven vehicles, including my own."

Mr Cross now faces criminal charges and could end up in prison.
