Copenhagen is located on the islands of Zealand and Amager. It is the capital of Denmark having a population of 1,167,569 as per census 2009.The city is the centre of culture, industry, media, science, information technology and shipping.

The city is known as cleanest city in Europe with better living style. Apart from that music, entertainment, media, recreation, architecture, parks, shopping are very vibrant in nature. The city attracts a very large number of tourists for its sight seen places.
Things to Do and See:
o The little Mermaid:
The statue of Mermaid is a legendary one. Danish author Hanschristian Anderson composed fairy tales of the Mermaid. Mermaid had a critical life on Copenhagen's water front. So women celebrate little Mermaid birth day surrounding the statue in water. The statue is very beautiful and made for her honor. A film is also produced by Disney on this theme.
o Amalien Borg Palace:
It is a royal castle. The queen used to stay here in winter. This was meant for residential palace for royal couple. Now visitors can visit only two out of four palaces. Christian VIII's palace is partly used as museum for Glucksburg royal family. But Christian VII's palace used by queen now opens for tourist. Statue of Fredric V thrown is just in middle of the castle.
o National Gallery:
The Gallery, Statens Museum for Kunst reveals the sculpture of 15th century. The combination of old and modern art, painting reflect an artistic experience of painting of Europe, Danish. The museum is also known as Danish National Gallery. Temporary exhibitions are conducted here. On Sunday it is free to visit the museum.
o Canal Tours:
Harbour canal tours are very attractive and exciting. Trip on old canal through all areas of old cities is enjoyable. Tour of Harbour or canal is of 60mins duration by Hop-On-Hop-Off water buses. The water bus sails separating sea land, Amager islands. Visit to Holmen is more suggestive.
o Kronborg Castle:
In Hamlet, sekhsphere described about the castle which is worth visiting. This is famous in northern Europe and use now as museum with modern art display. For children quiz, puzzles and for others trip downwards one can find national hero Holger Danske.
o Tivoli Gardens:
This is an amusing oldest park. Now the place is use for meetings, gatherings. Lighting, firework celebrations of Christ mass is quite amazing.
o National Museum:
It was built for king Fredrich V in 1746. But now it is a historical museum with light sound and sight of the building.
o Stroget:
It is world's largest pedestrian market with shops and shoppers of all taste. Here one can find also the sights of Helligandskirken, church of Our Lady. One can view also city hault tower, Kangens Nytorv square with Danish theatre all near by Stroget.
o Round tower:
This is symbol of European architecture. One can view the city and observe planetary movements through big telescope which is in practice since 1642. Denmark is famous for astronomy. The shape of the tower is rounded for easy heavenly observation.
o Louisiana:
It is fantastic global museum of modern art just 40 kms away from city. One can find collection of 3000 works in the museum. One can see also famous international artists in the museum. Splendid Danish art, sculpture speaks about the glorious past. The museum also exhibits special annual exhibitions. No doubt the city is worth visiting for its oldest monarchy with various events.
