Wedding Insurance Puts A Stop To This Wedding Venue Scam

It turns out the owners of this wedding establishment had been making false claims on their bride and grooms for years. Whenever they felt they needed something repaired or upgraded, they would blame the previous weekend’s wedding guests. Lucky for them, most couples didn’t think they had any alternative and whenever they tried to work out a deal, the wedding location managers would threaten them with lawyers. Unwittingly, couples would just give them the money. No longer.

Here’s a scary account about a newlywed couple who was incredibly lucky they had wedding insurance for their wedding day. The day got started exquisitely with the ceremony taking place outside the reception hall at their garden ceremony site. Well, it was by a busy street and quite a bit of traffic racket could be heard during the ceremony but the couple didn’t sound off about it. The ceremony went off without a hitch.

Once the ceremony was over everybody moved into the bar area in the hall for the cocktail hour. The guests were drinking and eating and really getting into the party mood. This was, after all, a festive occasion, a celebration, and the attendees we’re digging the whole scene. Some crackers and cheese might have been dropped, a beverage may have spilled a little somewhat. There were a minor or two in attendance, too, so they make a little bit of a mess sometimes. There was nothing out of the ordinary when it came to the initial party gathering. Nothing that would need any sort of wedding insurance coverage.

The friends and family then moved into the reception area for the wining and dining. The meal was not the greatest ever. This was, after all, a wedding and when feeding two hundred-plus guests, it’s not easy to create outstanding main courses. Some would even say the food was close to dog food, but that mattered not. What was important was that all the newly married pair’s most important peeps were there to spend time with them and to celebrate their marriage! Wedding insurance was the lesser of any thing from the newlywed’s. The newly married two were preoccupied with spending time and enjoying their loved ones and close friends. They weren’t visiting all the tables thinking, “Hmm, is all this covered by our wedding insurance policy?”

Moving on from the main course to dessert, the cake cutting was next. So far, not only had all the guests tilted back more than one glass, but so had the newlyweds. They were go the extra step with the cake cutting and ended up pretty much missing each others mouths. A little cake in his face, a little in hers, a little more up his nose, a little more up hers, and so on. Well, some of the bits spilled on the not so nice carpet, but no one ground it into the rug and the bride and groom were sure a food server or worker would have swept it up straightaway. Besides, this probably happened almost every other weekend and even if the carpet got a little stained, surely the wedding locale had wedding insurance coverage also.

Following that—and after cleaning the cake crumbs off of their faces—the silly couple experienced their first dance. All the friends and family members got choked up during this touching moment, the first dance. After all the other special dances, like the father daughter, mother son and so on, the rest of the group got up to dance in the celebration. The emcee was outgoing and inclusive and everyone shook their groove thang all night long. During the bouquet toss, the bride tossed her bouquet so high the flowers actually smacked into the white ceiling! The bouquet ricocheted right in to the hands of the bride’s grandmother. Again, no person was injured by jumping for the bouquet so no need for wedding insurance once more! Possibly the young lovers were wondering if they had dropped some coin on a worthless policy.

At the end of the night, almost all of the guests had made their way home and the ecstatic pair was dog-tired. They were overjoyed with the outcome of their ceremony and reception and they were even happier that nothing dreadful happened to the point of having to have their wedding insurance coverage put to use. Astoundingly, no one from the ballroom or locale touched base with them. The guard on duty closed the doors behind them and their astounding ceremony and reception was done, only to be alive in their memories. They weren’t aware the location owners had been ripping couples off for months and months.

A month after the celebration, the couple got a bill from the owners of the marriage place claiming that there was damage caused to their establishment during their celebration. They claimed the gazebo was damaged by a smoking wedding guest. They said a table in the entrance way had a beer spilled on it and was destroyed beyond repair. They had to locate a replacement. They stated that the silly cake conflict that transpired destroyed that area of the ballroom and the entire carpet needed to be replaced. They said that when the bride tossed her bouquet, it scratched up the ceiling and stained it, so that area and the entire ballroom had to be repainted. The total amount to the couple came out to over 20k!

The couple was devastated. They didn’t know what they should do. They somewhat accepted that they had to fork over the cash or get litigated upon, and we all know what that can cost. After talking with their parents and other family members, it was a groomsman who pointed out their wedding insurance. They contacted their wedding insurance representative, and they opened up a case to investigate. The two breathed a small sigh of relief.

About 14 days passed by and the bride and groom heard nothing and started to get a bigger headache. They started going over their funds to see if they could somehow gather up enough dough that they were being asked to compensate. Their wedding insurance agent finally called them and told them to come in for a visit.

And now, this couple and their wedding insurance company, are protagonists for sending those deplorable venue managers to the poor house. If it wasn’t for that wedding insurance policy and the ensuing investigation, the hornswoggling may have never ended.
