Even if the allowance permits purchase of very less material like newspaper or a magazine once in a week, the parents are already helping the child develop willingness to reading.
Some time to spare at a good magazine rack coupled with a few purchases of reading material is a good way to exercise children’s interest. Since today’s world is increasingly becoming dependant on technology, there is another way to grab the child’s attention~ by, subscribing to various reading magazines of the child’s interest.
Children whose parents indulge in reading also happen to pick up this quality systematically, parents in this case acting as model readers. Reading out loud to the children or perhaps making room for your child’s favorite books, can bring out a feeling of ownership for his books.
Help your children develop positive hobbies and interests and assist them seek reading material of their interest. Parents and guardians can work together with the children in discussing books they are currently reading or maybe even attend a sale at library, book exhibition or book stalls.

One should not limit the selection of the books at their home, instead have a collection of reading material that covers various subjects and topics.
