Take the latest sci-fi movie to hit the theaters, Repo Men, for example. Set in the future with a different storyline, it is the directorial debut of Miguel Sapochnik. It been adapted from a novel by the name of Repossession Mambo by Eric Garcia, one of the two screenplay writers for the movie, the other being Garret Lerner. Jude Law stars as Remy, the best Repo (session) man, in a future where humans can get top quality organs fitted in their bodies for a price. But if someone defaults on the payment for their organ, the Repo men arrive to take back the organs, irrespective of the discomfort caused to the other person. Remy suffers a heart attack and finds himself fitted with a top-of-the-line heart and no way to settle the debt. His former partner, Jake, is assigned to repossess his heart and Remy goes on the run. He starts a cat-and-mouse chase with Jake with another debtor, Beth, played by Alice Braga, helping him escape the law.
If you are tempted to watch the movie after getting to know the plot, you might want to go watch the movie in the theaters. But it often happens that you find yourself with no time at hand to either get the tickets, or to go to a theater to watch the movie. Earlier, this would have meant that you missed out on watching the movie and would have to wait for some months before it is released on DVDs and CDs. By the time this happens, you generally lose interest in the movie and leave it unseen. This cycle repeats itself most of the time.
