If you have always been a devotee of the subject of space and everything related to it, here is a chance to further your knowledge about it. Warner Bros. Pictures and IMAX has partnered with NASA to present a documentary, Hubble 3D about the 4th servicing mission to the Hubble space telescope. You must know about this telescope if you know anything about space. An IMAX 3D camera accompanied the crew of the mission as they went about their task of repairing and improving the functioning of the telescope.
The documentary provides you with an opportunity to view the grand and mysterious space, up close and personal. You will be able to see never before seen footage of the spacewalking astronauts and the surroundings. It has been directed by Toni Myers, who also wrote the screenplay for the movie. He wrote, produced and directed earlier movies about space such as Space Station 3D, L5: First City in Space, etc.
The documentary stars the actual seven astronauts who went on the servicing mission led by mission commander Scott D. Altman and piloted by Gregory C. Johnson. K. Megan McArthur was the sole woman on board. The documentary has been narrated by Leonardo DiCaprio of the Titanic and Blood Diamond fame.
Hubble 3D will be shown only in IMAX and IMAX 3D theaters. If you cannot find an IMAX theater near you, or cannot afford the, admittedly, expensive tickets, you need not fret. You can visit any of the different websites on the internet, which show different movies online without any charges. While some of them may not have good quality pictures, some have really good prints of the movies. All you need to watch the movies is an internet connection which has streaming capacity.
