Vauxhall did well across the board; the Vauxhall Corsa was awarded the best supermini. The Vauxhall Ampera which is not available until next year won the overall gold award and the next generation award. The Next Green Car Awards are a significant scoop for the Corsa and the Ampera as the awards selected the two models from a long shortlist of green cars available in the UK. All of the shortlisted models were chosen for their environmental Next Green Car green car rating, level of innovation, value, drive experience and design. The Vauxhall Corsa 1.3 CDTi ecoFLEX is a great value small green car; it is good to drive, has great styling and returns excellent miles to the gallon. Because the ecoFLEX model only emits 94g/km of CO2 it has zero road tax and is exempt from the London Congestion Charge.
