It is important to ensure the hole is big enough to produce enough of the sealant (but not too much) when you are applying the product in a smooth, even line to fill the gap. By cutting the nozzle at a slight 45º degree angle you can make it much easier to apply the product smoothly to the gap you need to seal. - Now you need trim the end off the silicone tube and attach the prepared nozzle. - Take the foam gun and pull back the pressure rod to allow you to place the silicone sealant tube in place. Once you have fitted the tube gently squeeze the trigger until the pressure rod meets the base of the tube. - Make sure the area you are filling in is prepared and then you can keep squeezing the trigger until the silicone sealant just starts to breach the nozzle. - Now you can start applying the silicone by running the nozzle along the gap as you carefully squeeze the trigger to dispense a smooth line of the product.
