Internet tethering Do you want to use that 3G connection to access the web on your laptop? No problem. Tethering turns your Motorola Droid into a modem that you can then access via Bluetooth. This is pretty nice if you don’t want to purchase a separate 3G data plan for your laptop while you’re on the go. This is arguably the strongest reason you would want to unlock a Droid. It could save you money if you’re willing to risk a little and invest the time. Some people need to control everything. If you’re one of them, you might want to consider unlocking your Droid phone. Undoubtedly, if enough people want a new feature, it will be included in some future OS release. Just give it time and enjoy your phone without giving yourself any headaches.
