Distributive property or Distributive law means distributing something like we are breaking it into different parts. Distributive property is a very simple concept which allows you to solve the problem by dividing in parts. Do you remember the “distributes over addition” , in this we write

a * (b+c)= (a * b) + (a * c).

In numeric form we can write the same equation as:

3 * (5+6)= (3 * 5) +(3 * 6).

In distributive property we multiply a single or more then one term in the parenthesis. Lets take an example to see what all these statements means.

=> 2* (5 + 8)= (2 * 5) + (2 * 8)

In this left hand side of the equation says, that 2 multiplies the sum of 5 and 8, but on the right hand side of equation it multiples 5 and 8 individually and the products added afterwards. On solving the equation we get,

=> 2 * (13) = (10) + (16),

=> 26 = 26.

As the final answer is same i.e. 26, we can say that multiplication by 2 distributes over addition 5 and 8. Since we can put any real number in place of 2, 5 and 8, and we still get a true equation. So, we can say that "distribution of real numbers distributes over the addition of the real numbers”. In this property, sometimes we take something through parenthesis or factor something out.

After distributive property, lets glow light on some points that how you can read this and other math topics online. You all live in this internet world and enjoy using internet, now with other things students can also enjoy doing math questions online with free online math tutors. Some students use private tutors and other sources to learn math but don't get as much as they expect. According to me all tutors are not equal, it may possible that your private tutor is good, but I would like to ask you a question that when you are getting better quality of education and wide range of resource with help of free online tutor and you don't have to pay anything to them, then why are you paying huge amount to private tutors.
