For those college students wishing to further their graduate education, USC Graduate School might be the right choice. USC stands for the University of Southern California, and is a private non profit making institution. You might be surprised to learn that USC, located in Los Angeles, is the oldest private research University in the state of California. There were 19,516 graduate and professional students enrolled, in the Fall of 2010, studying a huge variety of different programs, including business, law, science and medicine. In a survey of North American Universities, the University of Southern California was ranked in 23rd place, and attracts international students from around the globe.
Around 134 master's, doctoral and professional degrees, are offered in the USC Graduate School program. They are taught in 17 professional schools, including the Marshall School of Business, the Gould School of Law, the Keck School of Medicine, the Andrew and Erna Viterbi School of Engineering, and the Rossier School of Education. Graduate school enrollment began to exceed undergraduate enrollment, for the first time in 2007.

This geological instablity has produced numerous faults, one of the major ones being the San Andeas fault. Many major earthquakes have hit the city..
