While in 2005 Pletcher created history by setting up a single season’s racing earnings at approximately $21million which he obliterated himself and set another, this time it was a season’s earnings at approximately $27million. The year 2006 also surpassed another legendary record set by Todd’s mentor Wayne Lukas, 92 stakes win. Todd had won more than 100 stakes and was the new owner of this record as well. While a Triple Crown is has still eluded this superb trainer’s wishlist, Todd made his first Kentucky Derby win eventually with Super Saver last year and made a Belmont Stakes debut in 2007 with rags to Riches. This year, its Todd’s horse Uncle Mo who as a three year old making the news and is being counted as one of the most coveted contenders for the Breeder’s Cup Classic.
