At first, the thought of using WiFi for restaurants sounds pretty cool. Because of this, it is a good idea to go to the restaurant for WiFi access in between their lunch and dinner rushes. If you are unsure of when those rushes take place, call the restaurant and ask. They will more than likely be able to suggest an appropriate time frame for you to come by.

Another tip to follow is to make sure that you find a good spot in the restaurant. If you want privacy, ask for a booth in a corner or if you enjoy being outdoors, ask to sit out on the patio. However, be careful of where the sun is at during your time at the restaurant. Glare from the sun can make for a terrible time trying to see what is on your screen and you don’t want to inconvenience yourself by having to move around the restaurant in order to avoid the glare.

It is also a good idea to wait until after you have finished your meal before working on your laptop or at least work for a little bit online while waiting for your meal. Unless you are a very careful person, you want to avoid the possibility of dropping something onto your laptop and damaging it. Or situate your plate, drink glass and laptop in a way that won’t cause them to collide.
