So, come on; let's learn something about Zadar, geographical position, city map, weather, history, first, geographical position. The city of Zadar is situated in the midle of the Adriatic coast. It is an urban centre of northern Dalmatia. It is the seat of Zadar County and important transit center and remarkable tourist destination. It is surrounded with 5 National Parks: Paklenica, Kornati, Plitvice Lakes, Krka waterfalls and North Velebit. An hour or two by car or by boat from Zadar or other towns in the region takes you to all National Parks. Arriving in Zadar is very simple, because the city of Zadar is an easily accessible destination which you can reach by land, sea or air. With its good infrastructure it is directly connected to other bigger Croatian cities: Zagreb, Rijeka, Split and Dubrovnik, apart from that, it offers exceptional capacities and modern services in its numerous marinas.
“Tourist information attractions " will tell you everything you have to know about amazing things in Zadar. Because in every city there are some attractions, things, monuments, events, food or something else that are "must to" see, visit and try. The same is with my town, too. There are things or events that I must to talk about if I explain or introduce someone with my town. I usually said: you must see this, you must visit that, try this food in my favorite restaurant and so on. Lake Vrana Nature Park Lake Vrana Nature Park, a nature phenomenon is situated between the two historically interesting and rich cities of Zadar and Sibenik. It is the biggest natural lake in Croatia and one of the rare, almost intact natural habitats of waterfowls with sources of drinking water. According to its position and characteristics, the nature park and Lake Vrana are particularly specific not only in Croatia, but in the European area.
Nature Park Telascica Among the particularly valuable regions of the Republic of Croatia, Telascica holds a particular place and it is the only nature park on sea. Its natural geographical features, flora and fauna, geomorphologic entity, sea, submarine world and landscape represent a naturally well-situated unity on the land and sea of the last maritime kilometers of the Republic of Croatia state territory. The best-known local delicacy is lamb, specially the one from the island of Pag. As an appetizer one should also try the well-known sheep's cheese of Pag and Dalmatian smoked ham from Posedarje, which owes the secret of its wondrous flavor to the specific method of processing (air drying). Our region is an ideal gastro-location for those who enjoy good food, wine, scents and the atmosphere of Dalmatia.
The secret is in the sheep, bora and herbs. In Zadar you can find: pizza places, taverns, cafeterias, fast food, slow food, international restaurants and of course, traditional food restaurants. And in most of them you will find a really good food, so it's hard to make a choice, and single out any. But, of course, for who knows what reasons, you start to like some place better. So, the same is with me, and among all good places, I also have my favorites.
