Cricket, as the 3rd most popular sport in the world, might have started in UK. It has three main parts. They are batting, bowling and fielding. Although cricket seems like a contest between bat and ball, it requires 100% concentration, mental and physical fitness. As any other sportsman, cricketers have to be physically and mentally fit to perform at their best. This requires practice, courage, determination, nutritious food, exercise, rest, etc.
Nutritious food can be defined as some food which contains all the required nutrients such as carbohydrates, vegetables, fruits, oils, dairy, meat and beans. Although each of these nutrients is important for every human, the amount depends on the persons’ lifestyle. For a regular person, a standard food pyramid will be enough, but for a sportsman such as cricketer, who has to play a test match five days in a row, cannot survive by a food pyramid. They need additional help with their food. That is why nutritionists play a major role in an every cricketers’ life.
Over the years, we have seen some of the English cricketers having fitness issues. London nutritionists are experts in these kinds of situations. When a player is directed to a London nutritionist, he examines the player and recommends certain foods and diets to prevent medical disorders. He will examine the player not only for the physical disorders, but for the mental illnesses as well. Then he will start to make necessary changes in the particular players’ diet. It is not just about the diet, it involves daily vitamins and some essential minerals as well.
Lack of rest and sleep are two of the most unrated reasons for physical and mental disorders. These professionals know that from their experience. They will advise players to have rest at the vital moments. Resting a match and playing ten more years is better than playing a match when you are not fit and losing your whole carrier.
Sports are not just about winning. They are about friendliness and good health. There is no value for a sportsman who does not have a healthy life. Therefore, as humans our top priority should be to have a healthy life.
