People spend time with family and friends, participate in any appreciation moon and perhaps most importantly, eat moon cakes. Considered a staple in this time of year, these round cakes are quite small in size (about ten centimeters), but can pack a big flavor punch. And if I have to prove one, no doubt been a more perfect time than now! You'll find them everywhere here in Shanghai, but there are certain places that rise typical of the moon cake in a dish. Traditional flavors are being replaced by new alien combinations to tempt the palate and the mind boggle. So grab a cup of tea and chow down on some of the most delicious moon cakes in the city.
