This topic is all about the best neighborhoods in the San Jose, California area where you should investigate for real estate investing.
San Jose has one of the best neighborhoods in California. Yes, I know there are a lot of others out there as well. But I'm speaking from a real estate investor's viewpoint. It's quite an achievement, considering it was once a small farming city that suddenly exploded in the 50's and even until now.

If you are: a) single, b) a job starter, c) in your 20's to 30's with a graduate and undergraduate degree on your belt, or d) an urban sophisticate (married or unmarried)---then you will consider this charming city an ideal place to live in. Of course, that's not to say that others can't live here as well. San Jose brings a lot of diversity, security, culture, and openness in its surroundings. Everyone is welcome here, including your mother-in-law who eats nails for breakfast. Let's hope that San Jose's sunny atmosphere rubs off on her in time for your next family dinner.

I'm often asked what are the best places to invest to when buying real estate in San Jose. And often, I'm left more confused than ever. Really, there are so many great places to choose from! However, if my life depended on it, I will try to give you my top five favorites:

Willow Glen
Sure, their some of the house prices are a bit steep, but many people love to be here--and stay for a long time. History buffs will find the 40's to 50's restored houses a feast in the eyes, those who love to eat, shop and party will find it fun and intoxicating, to say the least. Willow Glen is also in the central part of California, which is a great location for commuters and businesses.

North Valley
This place is a commuter’s haven. The reason is that it’s home to a lot of apartments compared to the other areas around San Jose. What’s more, other new buildings keep sprouting up everywhere, making it a viable choice for commuters (and real estate investors) everywhere. Parents can also enroll their children to really good schools, such as Piedmont Hills High School or Berryessa School District.

Almaden Valley
Almaden makes you want to relive those days when life was simple, calm and homey. This place has the most "rural feel" to it, and if your family needs the children and animals to romp aroundin frenzy, then Almaden is the best place for you. Yes, most of them don't come cheap, but you are buying a beautiful community, to say the least. And like North Valley, Almaden Valley has good schools, as well.

Downtown San Jose
The hub of Silicon Valley, this great place is surrounded by Victorian and Spanish architecture. High-rise condos are seen everywhere, so those who love the word “cosmopolitan” will feel right at home in it.

Rose Garden
The name says it all. It’s a beautiful community as well, with many Victorian (and even Mediterranean) mansions, houses, and bungalows beckoning you to stay and live there. Elegance here is understated, but still noteworthy. The best part about it is that it’s a good place for those who work in the Silicon Valley or study at the Santa Clara University. South Bay Area commuters will also find this place convenient for travel.
