1. Antecubital – the part of the arm opposing the elbow
2. Antiseptic – something that discourages microorganisms from growing
3. Betadine – popular topical antiseptic agent containing iodine
4. Blood – the plasma consisting of red and white blood cells and platelets that runs through the veins
5. Blood Bags – used for storing blood for transfusions and other purposes
6. Blood Vessels – a series of vessels through which blood is carried
7. Bloodborne pathogens – germs in the blood stream that can be passed on to others.
8. Cardiovascular system – the blood transportation system that also transports gasses, nutrients and waste products in the body
9. Center for Phlebotomy Education – an organization that oversees regional accreditation agencies and provides information on certification to students
