The simplest thing you can do take care of your eyes is to wash your face absolutely every time before you go to sleep. It is imperative to do so, because the skin around your eyes is extremely thin and sensitive, so it is not easy for harmful factors to gather there and harm your eyes. If you want to reduce the swelling around your eyes, wash only with cold water every single time. If you don’t wash every night, you could wake up one day with swollen eyes or with an inadequate eye sight. Our bodies fight bacteria every second of every day, and we have to help them however we can.
If you really want your eyes to be healthy, get at least 7 or 8 hours of sleep every night. We know it can be extremely difficult to do so in today’s hectic world, but if you really care about your eyes (and all the other parts of your body), get the proper sleep time. Give your eyes a rest and they will work a lot better on the long run. Furthermore, we strongly suggest the inclusion of vitamin A in your diet. You don’t have to take dietary supplements or pills, you just have to eat the proper vitamin A rich foods, like egg yolks, whole cereals or liver.
You are probably already fed up with reading about how much you need to drink at least 2 liters of water every single day. Well, you have probably realized it by now, but water is the most important element for your body. Nothing in your body can function if it doesn’t have water, so drink at least 2 liters of it throughout the day. Not all in a single gulp, but drink at least 6 or 8 glasses from morning to evening. The proper hydration can help your eyes more than you can even begin to imagine. So please do yourself a favor and drink the appropriate amount of water.
Your eyes are incredible feats of bio-engineering, but they do need to rest once in a while. If you have to use the computer a lot, take at least 5 minutes of rest for every hour spent in front of the monitor. Just sit with your eyes closed a bit and relax for a while.
