The Iran flag presents the colors green and red. Considered a tricolor type flag, the color green is displayed first or above the other bands below, which are white and then red. Each stripe is the same in size.
Like other counties in the area of the Middle East, Iran has been in the news more frequently lately. Despite some of the more controversial stories we hear coming from this nation, its respective flag displays a wonderful energy. The national flag of Iran is hoisted on flag poles of different kinds. It was adopted officially back in 1980, and its adoption reflects the changes that were produced as a result of the Iranian Revolution.

The national flag presents the colors green and red. Considered a tricolor type flag, the color green is displayed first or above the other bands below, which are white and then red. Each stripe is the same in size. Like other flags of the world, including European flags, the specifics with regards to the Iranian flag are described by law.

The colors displayed on the Iran flag have significant meaning. White is said to represent or symbolize peace and honesty, the color red hardiness, bravery and strength, and the color green represents hope, joy and love. The design has remained unchanged for a few decades. It can be observed hoisted from residential and commercial flagpoles throughout the Iranian territory as well as other places not located in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

This beautiful country is officially referred as the "Islamic Republic of Iran," and is located in Western Asia. The country has been in different stages of development, including its respective name, which came into use back in 1935. Before that year, the country was referred to as Persia. This territory is home to one of the oldest civilizations in the world and its current population counts some 80 million people. Despite the maybe more negative mindset people might have of this republic, Iran truly has lots to offer!

I have studied a flag or two in my life time and find the Iranian flag to be one of the more fascinating historical flags. Flags are used both indoors and outdoors. Those considering flying the flag of Iran from aluminum flag poles, understand that flags work very hard if left attached to a flag pole twenty four hours per day.
