Once there was a rich man in a town who was the owner of several business organizations. But suddenly his business started facing grave trouble due to recession. This sudden crash in his economical status led him to borrow more debt from the market to secure his business, but unfortunately this also couldn’t save the businessman from the breakdown. One day the businessman was sitting in a park while an aged man approached him. The old man asked the businessman about his worries. After listening everything, the old man gave him a cheque of 10 lacks and asked the businessman to utilize this money in his business.
The old man told him that after one year they would meet again in the same place and that time the businessman can return the money to him. After saying all these, the old man turned and disappeared as quickly as he had come. The businessman saw that the check was signed by Mr. Jacob David, then one of the richest men in the world. Though the businessman became very happy after getting the cheque, but he decided to keep that un-cashed cheque in the safe and to try again to regain him previous economical stability. For one year, the businessman worked very hard and ultimately secured his business.
After one year, the man again met that old person in the park. But suddenly he noticed a nurse approached the old man and grabbed him. The nurse told him that every time the old man ran away from the mental asylum and told others that he was Mr. Jacob David. Suddenly, the businessman realized that it wasn't the money, real or imagined, that had turned his life around. It was his newfound self-confidence that gave him the power to achieve anything he went after.
Self confidence is one of the most vital ingredients in our life recipe. It makes us competent enough to take new risks and to face any situation in life. The basis of confidence is basically laid in the initial years of our life. Participating in debates, discussions or any public get-togethers will enhance the confidence level of the children. Self-esteem is the collection of beliefs or feelings we have about ourselves, our "self-perceptions." It is not anything that one can teach, but a support from parents and teachers can help children to obtain a high level of self-esteem.
In the modern day schools, we can notice different grooming classes which have been designed especially for kids. When our sphere of knowledge expands, our level of confidence automatically gets increased. A healthy home environment is very much needed to support the child and nurture the seed of confidence among them. Being parents, we should always look for new ways that can positively encourage them towards pursuing high goals every time. If you notice your children facing any trouble, talk to them about the difficulty and suggest them ways that can take them out of it. This will develop a sense of parental support and also boost the child to get stronger with the passing time.
