As I won’t see the car in the next few days, I thought I’d just search the new and see if I like any of the new Nissan cars.
I have been debating whether I should buy a used Nissan in Guilford or buy a brand new Nissan, which will probably last a good few years before I have to change it. I decided to see the used Nissan first, if I don’t like it then I will buy myself a new car.

As I won’t see the car in the next few days, I thought I’d just search the new and see if I like any of the new Nissan cars. While searching for a car, I got distracted by an article about the first public electric vehicle charging point in Lincoln, will be funded by Nissan.

This decision came after Top Gear pointed out the lack of charging infrastructure in the East Midlands city in a recent feature on the show. The presenters Jeremy Clarkson and James May drove a pair of electric vehicles into the centre of Lincoln, attempting to find a charging point.

Before the end of August 2011, Two PodPoint charging units will be installed, and the presenters will be invited to return to Lincoln and be the first to plug in to the new charger. Having two sockets, allows for the charging of two cars at the same time, free of charge.

Nissan's Executive Vice President Andy Palmer said: "Research tells us that most LEAF owners will charge their car at home or at their place of work, but drivers like having the ability to 'top up' their charge when they are out and about, especially if they are making longer journeys. With its new charging points and the fame generated by Top Gear, Lincoln could find itself becoming a tourist destination for Nissan LEAF owners."
