I am a newbie fireplace owner and already now I know that the fireplace have brought a lot to our home. About a year ago my husband and I decided to get a fireplace installed. The reason for this was our Christmas holiday which we spent in the Alps skiing and loving in a wonderful little cottage. In spite of its size, it was tremendously cozy and we have many wonderful memories of spending evenings playing board games in the warmth of the fireplace. After this experience, we kind of realized what was missing in our home. Our home was nice before the fireplace, too, but the house still lacked some essential atmosphere. Once we had decided on the fireplace, we got it in about two months. However, the first step was to determine whether our house was suitable for a fireplace and the flue.
