I had always been interested in cooking and it just seemed like a natural choice to me. I set my sights very high and had the ambition to become a Michelin starred chef at one of London’s well known restaurants. This was an ambition which I managed to realize when I was employed at a fabulous establishment in the heart of the city. Training to be a qualified chef is fairly easy but getting recognition and finding a position as a high profile chef is not so simple. It involves a lot of hard work and being a sous chef can be completely exhausting both physically and mentally. After quite a long period of time I managed to find my position at the top but maintaining the expected standards and day to day dress finally became to much and I had to leave. I still work as a chef but with a lesser profile and consequently a lot less stress. I always ensure I provide excellent quality food and never compromise on taste or nutrition. I am self employed and work for a variety of high profile companies providing buffets for Team Building In Kent team building events, Christmas parties or leaving parties. I still find the job very rewarding and I would not like to work in any other profession. However I am very glad that I decided to take a less stressful job as I now get the chance to spend a lot more time with my family. Sometimes we even go out to the restaurant where I used to work and enjoy the fact that somebody else is running around preparing my meal rather than the other way round.
