-Shri Satya Sai Baba
When we talk about hygiene, many of us think it is something that is meant only for the higher class of people. Those who think this are wrong with their thoughts, because hygiene is something every human being requires. Being hygienic means keeping yourself and your surroundings clean. To live a healthy life, every human being should keep their surroundings clean. Parents teach their children to maintain hygiene from their childhood days. After home, school is the second institution where a child learns the basic teachings of life.
The teaching of hygiene is provided in many primary schools these days. Students are taught how to maintain certain hygiene in their life and they are also told the reasons of maintaining those hygiene. In schools, children should be taught the basic traits of maintaining hygiene such as washing their hands properly before having lunch, cover their face with a handkerchief while coughing or sneezing, etc. In the elementary schools, teachers should teach the students to take bath every day before coming to school. In fact, in many schools, children are checked by their teachers in the morning assembly of the school, whether they have taken bath or not, or if their school uniform is in a proper manner or not.
While giving them instruction, teachers also should tell them why it is necessary to take bath every day. They should also tell the toddlers to wash their hands properly before they take their lunch. Children are god-fearing and also fear hospitals. They should be told that if they do not maintain hygiene in their everyday life then god will never be kind to them and they may also have to visit hospital for this. Also make sure if the students are using soap or any kind of hand wash to clean their hands.
If students sneeze or cough in the classroom, teachers should instruct the students to cover their face with a handkerchief or tissue paper to at least save the other students sitting next to them from the viral effect of cough. While teaching hygiene to the toddlers, teachers also should tell the students to not touch their eyes or mouth with hand. They should also be taught to use flush everytime they use the toilet and wash their hands after it. If you are a parent and searching for any Boarding school that gives almost all types important facilities to the students including few advices to parents as well, then do not be worried.
