Apache is a successful bike model from India's two-wheeler maker TVS. The company sells two variants of the model- TVS Apache RTR 160 and TVS Apache RTR 180.

TVS Apache RTR 160 comes with a 159.7 cc engine. It has overall length of 2020 mm, overall width of 730 mm and overall height of 1100 mm. The bike has wheel base of 1300 mm and ground clearance of 180 mm. The bike can store up to 16.0 liter of fuel in its tank. The 159.7 cc engine of the bike delivers maximum power of 11.5KW @ 8500 and maximum torque of 10 NM @ 6250 RPM. The front suspension of the bike is telescopic hydraulic fork, while the rear suspension is mono tube 5 step adjustable canister-6AS. TVS Apache RTR 160 comes with front brake of Dia 270 Disc Brake Petal Type and rear brakes of Drum 130 Dia Optional Rear Disk Brake.
TVS Motor is India's 3rd largest two-wheeler maker as of now. It is among the top 10 two-wheeler makers of the world. The company is part of the TVS Group, a corporate house based in India. The group has a staff strength of around 40,000 people. TVS Motor, the flagship company of its parent group, manufacturers and sells motorcycles, mopeds, scooterettes and auto rickshaws. Other bikes of TVS are TVS Flame SR 125, TVS FLAME, TVS STAR City, TVS Jive and TVS Star Sports.
TVS Motors was founded by T. V. Sundaram Iyengar in 1978. Over the years it has established its manufacturing plants in Hosur, Mysore and Nalagarh. It also has a manufacturing unit in Karawang in Indonesia. The company is credited with launching India's first moped the TVS 50cc. Soon, the company became the market leader in the category of sub 100cc mopeds with sales crossing over 4 million units. The company's product TVS Scooty turned out to be a milestone. The product created a whole new segment of two-wheeler known as scooterette.
TVS Motor was given the Deming Prize for its commitment to quality control in 2002. It is the only Indian two-wheeler company to win the award. The Technology Development Board, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India awarded TVS Motor for successful commercialization of indigenous technology in 2002.
